What is Card Swiping?
Card swiping is your daily engagement with ReKindle. Each day, you'll swipe on relationship-oriented questions and prompts that help our AI understand your preferences, values, and personality.
How It Works
Daily Goal
Complete 15 cards per day to:
- Build your AI profile for better suggestions
- Maintain your streak
- Unlock new insights about yourself
Swiping Cards
For each card prompt, you have three options:
- Swipe Right ✅ - Yes / Agree / This resonates with me
- Swipe Left ❌ - No / Disagree / This doesn't resonate
- Tap Skip ⏭️ - Skip this card (doesn't count toward daily goal)
You can also use the buttons at the bottom of the screen instead of swiping!
Types of Prompts
Cards cover various relationship topics:

Streaks & Progress
Daily Streak
- Complete your daily goal (15 cards) to maintain your streak
- Your streak counter shows consecutive days of completion
- Streaks are displayed on the Cards screen
Progress Tracking
The Cards screen shows:
- X/15 cards completed today
- Current streak: Consecutive days you've met your goal
- Daily goal celebration: Toast notification when you complete 15 cards
Building Your AI Profile
How Swipes Help
Every card you swipe helps the AI understand:
- Your relationship values
- Your communication style
- Your preferences for activities
- Your love languages
- Your goals and aspirations
Profile Regeneration
After swiping 10 or more new cards, you'll receive a notification that you can regenerate your AI profile with fresh insights.
What happens:
- You swipe 10+ new cards
- Notification appears: "You have 10+ new swipes - regenerate your profile for updated insights!"
- Navigate to your Profile to regenerate
- AI creates new personalized insights based on all your swipes
You don't need to wait for 10 new swipes to regenerate - you can do it anytime. The notification is just a helpful reminder that you have enough new data for meaningful updates.
Offline Support
Swipe Anywhere
- Cards can be swiped even when offline
- Your progress is saved locally
- When you reconnect, your swipes automatically sync to the server
Hybrid Sync
ReKindle uses smart hybrid syncing:
- Local count and server count are merged
- Prevents data loss
- Ensures your progress is always saved
Tips for Success
Be Honest
Swipe based on your true feelings, not what you think you "should" answer. The AI creates better suggestions when it knows the real you.
Daily Habit
Set a consistent time each day to complete your cards:
- Morning coffee
- Lunch break
- Before bed
Don't Overthink
Go with your gut instinct. If you're unsure, skip the card and come back to it.
Use Skips Strategically
- Skip cards that don't apply to you
- Skip cards you're genuinely unsure about
- Remember: Skips don't count toward your daily goal
Card Refresh
Running Out of Cards
If you swipe through all available cards:
- Pull down to refresh and get new cards
- New cards are generated based on your profile
- You'll never run out of content
Card Variety
Cards are personalized to your:
- Language preference
- Relationship stage
- Previous swipes
- Profile information
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if I miss a day?
A: Your streak resets to 0, but your swipe history and AI profile remain intact. Just start a new streak the next day!
Q: Can I swipe more than 15 cards per day?
A: Absolutely! The 15-card goal is a minimum. Swipe as many as you'd like to build a richer profile.
Q: Do skipped cards come back?
A: Yes, skipped cards may appear again later. If you consistently skip certain types of cards, the AI learns to show you different content.
Q: Can I change my swipe after I've swiped?
A: Yes! You can delete individual responses from your Response History to reconsider cards. See the Response History section below.
Q: Will my partner see my individual swipes?
A: No, your individual swipes are private. Your partner only sees suggestions and insights generated from your profile, not the specific cards you swiped.
Q: How long does it take to build a good profile?
A: You can generate your first profile after just 10-20 swipes, but the more you swipe, the better the AI understands you. Many users see meaningful improvements after 50-100 swipes.
Response History
View, manage, and reconsider all your card responses.
Accessing Response History
Tap the history icon in the Cards screen header to open your complete response history.
What You'll See
- Stats summary: Total responses broken down by Yes, No, and Skipped
- Response list: All your past responses with infinite scroll
- Card details: Each response shows the statement, your answer, category, and when you swiped
Managing Responses
Delete Individual Responses
Changed your mind about a card? Delete the response and the card will appear again in your deck:
- Find the response in your history
- Tap the delete icon
- Confirm deletion
- The card becomes available to swipe again
Reset All Responses
Want to start fresh? You can reset all your responses:
- Tap the reset button in the header
- Confirm the action
- All responses are deleted
- Your AI profile is cleared
Resetting all responses cannot be undone. Your entire swipe history and AI profile will be cleared.
Offline Support
Response history works offline:
- Previously loaded responses are cached locally
- Deletions are queued and synced when you reconnect
- A banner shows when viewing cached data
