What are Badges?​

Badges are achievements you unlock by engaging with ReKindle and strengthening your relationship. They celebrate milestones, habits, and meaningful moments you create with your partner.

Viewing Your Badges​

Badge Collection​

Access your complete badge collection:

  1. Navigate to Profile tab
  2. Scroll to Badges section
  3. Tap "View All Badges"
  4. Browse your unlocked and locked badges

Badge Overview​

The main badges screen shows:

  • Header: "X/Y Unlocked" (e.g., "5/20 Unlocked")
  • Grid layout of all available badges
  • Visual distinction between unlocked and locked badges

Badge States​

Unlocked Badges​

Badges you've earned are displayed with:

  • ✨ Full-color badge icon
  • Badge name
  • Badge description
  • Achievement date ("Unlocked on Jan 3, 2026")
  • Current progress (for counter badges)

Locked Badges​

Badges you haven't earned yet show:

  • 🔒 Grayed-out icon
  • Badge name
  • Badge description
  • Requirements to unlock
  • Progress toward unlocking (if applicable)

Badge Types​

Standard Badges​

One-time achievements for completing specific actions:

Examples:

  • "First Swipe" - Swipe your first card
  • "Profile Creator" - Generate your first AI profile
  • "Partner Link" - Successfully link with your partner

Tiered Badges​

Multi-level badges that upgrade as you progress:

Examples:

  • "Swiper" (Bronze) → "Super Swiper" (Silver) → "Master Swiper" (Gold)
  • Progress: 10 swipes → 100 swipes → 1000 swipes

Counter Badges​

Track cumulative actions with ongoing progress:

Examples:

  • "Card Master": Swipe 50 cards (shows "X/50 cards swiped")
  • "Token Giver": Award 100 tokens (shows "X/100 tokens awarded")
  • "Generous Partner": Send 500 tokens (shows "X/500 tokens sent")

Progress Display:

  • Current count / Required count
  • Progress label (e.g., "23/50 cards swiped")
  • Visual progress indicator

Progress Tracking​

Real-Time Updates​

Badges update automatically as you:

  • Swipe cards

Achievement Notifications​

When you unlock a badge:

Q: Can I remove a badge I don't like?

A: No, earned badges are permanent achievements. They represent milestones you've accomplished.

Q: Do badges expire?

A: No, once you earn a badge, it's yours forever.

Q: How many badges are there in total?

A: The badge collection is regularly updated with new achievements. Check the "X/Y Unlocked" counter in the badges screen for the current total.

Q: What's the rarest badge?

A: Badges requiring long-term consistency (like 365-day streaks) or high cumulative counts (like 1000+ swipes) tend to be the rarest.

Q: Can I compete with my partner for badges?

A: While there's no built-in competition feature, you and your partner can friendly compare progress and motivate each other to earn badges together.
