Account Creation

When you create a Rekindle account, you agree to:

• ✓Provide accurate, truthful information during signup
• ✓Be at least 18 years old
• ✓Use Rekindle only in your own name (not on behalf of others without consent)
• ✓Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by you or not. You agree to:

• ✓Notify Rekindle immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• ✓Keep your password secure and change it regularly
• ✓Log out of your account on shared devices
• ✓Not share your account with others

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings menu. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Your Content

You own all content you create on Rekindle, including your swipes, notes, and important dates. By using Rekindle, you grant us a license to:

• ✓Store and process your data to provide the service
• ✓Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our algorithms and features
• ✓Back up your data for security and disaster recovery

You do not grant us permission to sell, share, or use your personal information for marketing without your explicit consent.

Rekindle's Content

All materials on Rekindle—including our card suggestions, UI design, text, graphics, logos, and algorithms—are our intellectual property or licensed from third parties. You may not:

• 🚫Copy or reproduce our content without permission
• 🚫Distribute or publicly display our materials
• 🚫Use our branding or trademarks without authorization
• 🚫Create derivative works based on our service

User-Generated Content

Any content you post or share on Rekindle (such as notes or messages to your partner) remains your property. However, by posting it, you agree that your partner may view and respond to it.

Partnering with Another User

When you request to link with another Rekindle user:

• ✓They receive a notification and must accept or decline your request
• ✓Rekindle does not verify relationship status or consent outside the app
• ✓Both parties must actively accept the partnership to proceed
• ✓You agree to only send partnership requests to people who have consented to partnering with you

Linked Account Responsibilities

Once linked:

• ✓Your partner can see your balance awards and important dates
• ✓You are both responsible for maintaining respectful communication
• ✓You may unlink at any time—all shared data access is immediately revoked
• ✓Rekindle is not responsible for conflict or disagreement between partners

No Verification of Relationships

Rekindle does not verify that users are actually in a relationship or have consent from other users. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have obtained proper consent before linking accounts.

No Professional Advice

Rekindle provides activity suggestions and connection ideas for entertainment and personal use only. We are not a substitute for:

• 🚫Professional relationship counseling or therapy
• 🚫Medical or mental health advice
• 🚫Legal advice
• 🚫Any professional services

If you need professional help, please consult a qualified therapist, counselor, or other appropriate professional.

Service "As Is"

Rekindle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that:

• 🚫The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• 🚫All defects will be corrected
• 🚫The service will meet your expectations
• 🚫Any data will be secure or preserved

Third-Party Services

Rekindle may link to or integrate with third-party services (OAuth providers, hosting, etc.). We are not responsible for:

• 🚫The availability or quality of third-party services
• 🚫Third-party privacy practices or terms
• 🚫Any damages or losses resulting from third-party service failures

No Liability for Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rekindle shall not be liable for:

• 🚫Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• 🚫Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• 🚫Relationship damage or personal harm
• 🚫Any damages arising from your use or inability to use Rekindle

Liability Cap

In no event shall Rekindle's total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (or $50, whichever is less).

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

By You

You can terminate your account at any time by deleting it through Settings. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Rekindle

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• 🚫Violate these Terms of Use
• 🚫Engage in harassment, abuse, or illegal activity
• 🚫Attempt to hack or exploit the service
• 🚫Repeatedly violate our Acceptable Use Policy

Upon termination, your account will be disabled and you will lose access to all associated data. We will not provide refunds for account termination due to violations.

Changes to Features

Rekindle may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, content, or the service itself at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Maintenance and Downtime

We may temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance, updates, or security reasons. We will provide advance notice when possible, but emergency maintenance may occur without warning.

Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with Rekindle, please contact us first. We'll work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

Binding Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Rekindle shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than court proceedings. Both parties agree to:

• ✓Arbitrate individually (not in a class action)
• ✓Waive the right to a jury trial
• ✓Share costs of arbitration proportionally

Exceptions

The following are not subject to arbitration and may be brought in court:

• ✓Claims for intellectual property infringement
• ✓Claims seeking injunctive relief for misuse of the service
• ✓Claims in small claims court (if within jurisdiction limits)
